For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICE STATION. Any building or premises used for the dispensing, sale or offering for sale at retail to the public, fuels stored only in underground tanks located wholly within the lot lines; lubricating oil or grease for the operation of motor vehicle; and the sale or installation of tires, batteries, other minor accessories and repairs, but not including a bulk plant, major repairs, salvage or sales.
SERVICE STATION CANOPY. A roof-like structure usually self-supporting and detached, and erected primarily to provide shelter from the weather at self-service gasoline pumps at motor vehicle service stations.
