(A) The Animal Control Officer shall be authorized to issue citations or complaints for the violation of any provisions of this chapter.
(B) Police officers are authorized to arrest for violations of the Humane Care for Animals Act, being 510 ILCS 70/1 et seq., violations of the dangerous and vicious dog provisions under the state’s Animal Control Act, 510 ILCS 5/1 et seq., and sexual contact with an animal (720 ILCS 5/12-35), and violations of the Humane Euthanasia in Animal Shelters Act, 510 ILCS 72/1 et seq..
