§ 31.06 TERM OF APPOINTIVE POSITIONS; VACANCIES.
   (A)   Every appointive officer or employee of the city shall hold office for a term of one year or until his or her successor is appointed and qualified, unless it is otherwise provided by this code of ordinances or other ordinances of the city.
   (B)   In case of a vacancy in any appointed office, the person making the original appointment shall appoint a new officer or employee.
