§ 31.05 DUTIES UPON TERMINATION OF OFFICE.
   Each officer of the city, upon the termination of his or her office for any cause whatsoever, shall deliver to his or her successor all books and records which may be the property of the city and, if no successor has been appointed within one week after the termination of his or her position, the property shall be delivered either to the City Clerk or to the City Treasurer.
