1-1-1: INCORPORATION - CLASSIFICATION:
The Town of South Weber was incorporated in 1938 as a political subdivision of the State of Utah and on March 16, 1971 with a population of 1,073 became a third class city. Under reclassification by the State of Utah in 2003, South Weber City, having a population of 1,000 or more but less than 10,000, became a city of the fifth class. The City may be referred to as South Weber City or the City of South Weber, and is a municipal corporation and a political subdivision of the State of Utah. (Ord. 17-01, 2-28-2017)
