(a) Buildings or structures in Industrial and Business Districts, if not equipped with sprinkler systems and where not required by adopted codes, shall have smoke or products of combustion detectors installed adjacent to or in all heating rooms and combustible storage rooms or adjacent to areas designated as highly volatile.

(b) Each residential multifamily unit shall be equipped with an approved smoke detector. (Ord. 1980-34. Passed 6-21-80.)
(c) Smoke detectors shall be located adjacent to sleeping areas in residential multifamily units. Such smoke detectors shall be of the direct wired type. However, combination power supplied units are acceptable. (Ord. 1982-34. Passed 11-8-82.)
