There is hereby adopted for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the installation and maintenance of electrical materials in dwelling units consisting of one, two and three family dwellings, and multifamily dwellings, that certain code known as The National Electrical Code recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, being particularly the 2008 edition and the whole thereof is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out herein, and from the date on which this section shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the installation and maintenance of all electrical materials in one, two or three family dwelling units contained within the corporate limits of the Village, except such portions as are hereinafter added, amended or deleted in this chapter. Any amendments to such National Electric Code or any addition to such code shall automatically be adopted by reference.
