Effective January 1, 1993, no person, firm or entity shall engage in the alarm business within the Village without first having obtained a license from the Village. “Alarm business” means the business of selling, leasing, maintaining, servicing, repairing, altering, replacing, moving or installing any alarm system or causing to be sold, leased, maintained, serviced, repaired, altered, replaced, moved or installed any alarm system in or on any building, structure or facility. The Mayor or his nominee and the Chief of Police are hereby designated the authorities to accept registrations and to issue and revoke licenses for such business purposes. A fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be charged for each license issued. The license must thereafter be renewed bi- annually and a fifty dollar ($50.00) fee for each such renewal shall be imposed.
