No member of the Architectural Board of Review shall participate in the review of any work of which he or she, a partner or a professional associate is the author, or in which he or she or they have any direct or indirect financial interest. If such an occasion should arise, the member so restrained shall forfeit his or her fee for that meeting and yield his or her place to another qualified registered architect, to be selected by the other Board members and appointed by the Mayor, to review the work in question. The architect so serving shall receive the compensation forfeited by the member whose place he or she filled.
