(a) There is hereby established a fund to be designated as the Building Department Petty Cash Fund. Such Fund shall be in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) and shall be located in the Building Department. Such Fund shall be appropriated in and included as part of the annual appropriation of the General Fund. The Building Department Administrative Assistant shall have the sole custody and jurisdiction over the fund and he or she shall use the same for the purpose of paying postage and making small change, as necessary for, but not exclusively, the Building Department.
(b) The Building Department Petty Cash Fund shall, upon being depleted to less than fifty dollars ($50.00) be reconciled and a report detailing the funds expended and a request for replenishment of such funds shall be submitted to the Fiscal Officer.
