§ 34.46 SEVERABLE MEMBERSHIP.
   (A)   The auxiliary police officers shall not be members of the Municipal Police Department of the village. Auxiliary police officers need not be residents of the village.
   (B)   Identification symbols worn by the auxiliary police officers shall be different and distinct from those used by the Municipal Police Department and shall be selected and chosen by the Chief of Police.
   (C)   Auxiliary police officers shall, at all times during the performance of their duties, be subject to the direction and control of the Chief of Police.
