§ 154.002 SCOPE.
   (A)   For the purpose of present and future development of the village and for the promotion of the public health, safety, comfort, morals and welfare of persons living within the territory governed, the provisions and regulations hereafter contained shall govern the subdividing and platting of lands lying within the corporate limits of the municipality and within all unincorporated territory located within one and one-half miles of the municipality, as now or hereafter existing, except as otherwise provided in this chapter. Within the area of jurisdiction of the village, the provisions of the statutes of the state are hereby adopted as part of the "official plan of the village".
   (B)   This chapter prescribes procedures for the subdivision or resubdivision of land within the area of jurisdiction of the village and comprises the procedures, requirements, standards and specifications with respect thereto.
