At the first meeting in May of each year, the Mayor shall appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Village Board, all officers of the village for a one-year term, whose election or appointment is not otherwise provided for, and the officers shall hold their offices until the first meeting in May of the following year and until their respective successors are appointed and qualified. Any vacancy occurring in an appointive office shall be filled in the same manner. Those officers include, but are not limited to, the Police Chief, Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector and Zoning Administrator.
