(A) Every public utility, after the enactment of this subchapter, shall maintain records showing the location of all of its underground facilities except relatively minor facilities which connect a particular premise or building to a facility serving more than one premise or building, and except oil or gas gathering or field lines.
(B) Every public utility shall maintain equipment which can locate the facilities in the field.
