§ 51.25 NOTICE TO CUSTOMER.
   (A)   If in accordance with the State Plumbing Code or in the judgment of the Director of Public Works, an approved backflow prevention device is necessary for the safety of the public water supply system, the Director of Public Works or his or her authorized agent shall give notice to the water customer to install such an approved device immediately.
   (B)   The water customer shall, at his or her own expense, install such an approved device at a location and in a manner in accordance with the Illinois Plumbing Code, 77 Ill. Adm. Code 890, and all applicable local regulations, and shall have inspections and tests made of the approved devices as required by the State Plumbing Code and local regulations.
   (C)   The installation thereof, being of a complex nature, shall be made by a licensed plumber licensed under the state requirements therefor, who has additionally been certified by the State Environmental Protection Agency as qualified as a cross-connection control inspector.
