Of the nine (9) appointed members, three (3) shall serve for a period of one year, three (3) for a period of two (2) years and three (3) for a period of three (3) years, except that any Trustee on the Plan Commission shall serve for the term of his elected office. Thereafter, any appointed members, other than Trustees, shall serve for a period of three (3) years. All members of the Commission shall serve without compensation except that, if the Village Board of Trustees deems it advisable, the secretary may receive such compensation as may be fixed from time to time by said Board of Trustees and provided for in the appropriation ordinance.
