§ 32.33  VILLAGE FIRE CHIEF.
   (A)   The President, with the consent of the Board of Trustees, shall appoint a Village Fire Chief to hold office at the pleasure of the President and the Board of Trustees. The Village Fire Chief may be removed or dismissed without cause by the President, with the consent of the Board of Trustees of the village, at any time after his or her appointment. A new appointment shall be made by the President and Board of Trustees in a timely manner.
   (B)   The Village Fire Chief shall enforce or cause to be enforced all ordinances of the village and all laws of the state.
   (C)   It shall be the duty of the Village Fire Chief to attend all meetings of the Board of Trustees of the village, to serve all notices in writing when so ordered by the Village Board, and to perform all such other duties as shall be prescribed by ordinances of said village or by any resolution or order adopted by the Board of Trustees in said village from time to time. He or she shall be the supervisor and administrator of the Fire Department, its men and women, and its files.
   (D)   The Village Fire Chief shall possess the power and authority of a Fire Chief pursuant to the statutes of the state within the corporate limits of the village.
