§ 33.030 INTENT.
The intent of this subchapter is to create a workplace environment that is free from workplace bullying and does not tolerate violence, incivility, or bullying of employees by co-workers, supervisors, elected officials, or appointed officials. For the purpose of this subchapter the terms WORKPLACE or WORKSITE mean all public and private venues where employees are conducting duties on behalf of the city, and includes city offices, city streets, public and private meetings, and city-owned buildings. In some instances, the worksite may be negatively impacted if an employee is bullied or harassed by a co-worker, supervisor, elected official or appointed official, outside of work hours and in non-public or semi-public venues, if the effect of that conduct causes disruption to the employee's personal life and/or normal, day-to-day work activities.
