§ 152.20 STATE STANDARDS OF SAFETY (FIRE PREVENTION CODE) ADOPTED.
   (A)   The State Standards of Safety (Fire Prevention Code), as promulgated in the State Administrative Regulations of the Department of Housing, Buildings, and Construction, is hereby adopted in full. A copy of the Code is available for inspection in the offices of the City Clerk at the City Building, located at 122 Electric Avenue, Southgate, Kentucky.
   (B)   The Fire Chief is hereby designated as the local enforcement agent for the Standards of Safety.
   (C)   All final decisions of the Fire Chief, in regard to the Standards of Safety (Fire Prevention Code), are appealable to the City Board of Adjustment. Any appeal must be made within 30 days of the final decision of the aforementioned Fire Chief. An appeal to the Circuit Court may be taken within 30 days of the decision of the Board of Adjustment.
   (D)   The imposition of any penalty shall not preclude the city from instituting an appropriate action or proceeding to prevent any unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance, or use; to restrain, correct, or abate a violation; to prevent the occupancy of a building, structure, or premises; or to prevent an illegal act, conduct, business, or use in or about any structure and/or premises.
