(A) The issuance of an ordinance violation notice by a village police officer, or by a village inspector, is hereby authorized when any police officer or village inspector sees, or has reasonable cause to suspect, that a person has violated any ordinance of the village, except any violation of the motor vehicle code or traffic ordinance.
(B) The ordinance violation notice shall be in the form prescribed by the Board of Trustees, and shall set forth the name and address of the person suspected of violating the ordinance, as well as the time and place of the violation, a description of the offense and the citation to the ordinance violated. The notice shall provide for a date to correct the violation, and a warning that failure to correct the violation will result in prosecution to collect a fine.
