Every police officer of this municipality is authorized and obliged to perform the following duties:
(A) To serve and execute all warrants for violation of municipal ordinances or the State Criminal Code (720 ILCS 5/1-1 et seq.);
(B) To arrest, or cause to be arrested, all persons who break the peace or are found violating any municipal ordinance or any state or federal criminal law;
(C) If necessary, to transport arrested persons to the county jail;
(D) To direct, control and regulate vehicular and pedestrian traffic in a manner consistent with the provisions of state law and the municipal traffic ordinances;
(E) To remove any unattended, abandoned or disabled vehicle from the public roadways of this municipality if such vehicle is obstructing normal traffic flow; and
(F) To exercise all other powers as conservators of the peace that the Board of Trustees may prescribe.
