§ 31.01 PRESIDENT’S POWER TO APPOINT.
   (A)   Generally. The President shall have the power to appoint a Village Attorney and a Village Treasurer, each to serve for one year and such other special officers as the Trustees may designate. The compensation of such officers shall be fixed by the Board of Trustees.
   (B)   Appointment of Village Clerk. The position of Village Clerk shall be appointive, with such Clerk being appointed by the Village President with the concurrence of the Village Board. The term of appointment for the Village Clerk shall be one year, but with no limitation on the number of terms which a person may serve as Clerk. The compensation of the appointive Clerk shall be as fixed by the corporate authorities.
