Subject to the supervision of the Town Manager/designee, the Chief of the Police Department shall have general control of the Department, its vehicles, equipment and personnel. In the event of an emergency or major incident of crime, which threatens or causes significant harm to life or property in the Town, it shall be the duty of the Chief/designee to report to the place of the incident, coordinate the provision of police services in conjunction with the public safety needs of the community and participate in the incident management.
