Any police officer having jurisdiction in the Town shall have the authority to require any person driving or in control of any commercial vehicle to proceed to any public or private scale available for the purpose of weighing the truck to determine whether the vehicle and driver are in compliance with local, state and federal codes, laws and regulations.
