§ 31.062 BOND, OATH AND COMPENSATION.
   (A)   Bond. Before entering upon the duties of office, the Treasurer shall furnish a surety bond in the amount to be approved by the President and Board of Trustees, the bond to be conditioned on the faithful performance of the Treasurer's duties. The bond shall be an amount of money that is not less than three times the latest Federal Census Population or any subsequent census figure used for Motor Fuel Tax purposes. The premium for the bond shall be paid by the village. The bond shall be filed with the Village Clerk.
   (B)   Oath. Before entering upon the duties of office, the Treasurer shall take and subscribe the oath required by the Illinois Constitution. The subscribed oath shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk.
   (C)   Compensation. The Treasurer shall receive compensation in such amount and manner as the President and Board of Trustees shall fix from time to time by contract or ordinance.
