(A) The following salary scale for certain elected public officials of the village is hereby established effective May 1, 2005:
(1) President: $300 per meeting.
(2) Trustees: $150 per meeting.
(3) Village Clerk: $225 per meeting.
For purposes of this section, a "meeting" shall include attendance at any meeting of any Commission or Board established by ordinance that is subject to the provisions of the Open Meetings Act.
(B) All other officers and employees of the village shall receive such salary as may from time to time be provided by ordinance or resolution.
(C) Elected Officials may receive compensation for more than one meeting per week but shall not receive compensation for more than one meeting per calendar day. Under circumstances approved by a majority of the Corporate Authorities, an elected official may receive compensation for a meeting he or she did not attend due to attendance at another event or function related to his or her office.
