§ 51.41 TURNING ON WATER SUPPLY.
   (A)   The domestic water supply line shall not be turned on until an adequate meter has been installed, as well as a final occupancy permit secured; provided, however, that the Village Administrator or anyone authorized by him or her may approve the installation of a water meter and provision of water service for limited construction purposes on the premises prior to the issuance of a final occupancy certificate, upon the posting with the village of a deposit of $300 cash. The cost of any water used prior to occupancy shall be charged against the deposit. The party posting the deposit shall also be responsible for any costs of water service in excess of the deposited amount; such excess shall be paid in full to the village prior to the issuance of a final occupancy permit. Only authorized employees or agents of the village shall operate the curb stop/B box.
   (B)   The Director of Administrative Services shall have the authority to require an adequate and sufficient cash deposit for the provision of water service to any leased or rented unit or building and shall require the applicant for water service to disclose the name of the landlord or owner and the name of the tenant or occupant at the time of application or transfer of service. The Director of Administrative Services shall issue guidelines for such deposits from time to time.
