Any leaks or defects in domestic water service shall be repaired within five working days by the property owner. If the existing water service does not meet village standards it must be replaced to conform to such requirements prior to backfilling of the trench. Repairs must be approved and inspected by a representative of the Village Department of Public Works. If the water service is not repaired within the required time allowed, the water supply shall be shut off and not turned on again until proper repairs and inspections have been made. All necessary incurred costs must also be paid by the property owner.
