§ 51.24 SPECIFICATIONS FOR WATER SERVICE EXTENSION PIPE.
   (A)   Water service shall be a minimum of 66 inches in depth.
   (B)   Water service extensions crossing a driveway or sidewalk shall be backfilled with compacted stone consistent with the Village of South Elgin Engineering Design and Inspection Policy Manual.
   (C)   When a water service passes through concrete walls and/or floors, clearance between the pipe and the wall and/or floor shall be not less than one-half inch. The space between the wall and/or floor and the pipe shall be packed or caulked with lead or some waterproof rodent resistant material.
   (D)   The water service shall not show signs of leakage under full village water pressure not to be less than 20 P.S.I.
