The Committee is advisory in nature. Members of the committee shall have an interest in the welfare of the village. The Village President shall appoint the members of the Committee with the consent of the corporate authorities. The term of each member shall be three years. Of the seven original appointees, three shall have one-year terms, two shall have two-year terms, and two shall have three-year terms. The terms of the original appointees shall be determined by means chosen by the Village President, which may be by agreement of the members, or by lots, or by decision of the Village President. Any vacancy occurring shall be filled for the remainder of the unexpired term by appointment of the Village President without the necessity of consent of the corporate authorities.
