§ 98.06 INSPECTIONS.
   The applicable fire protection district, the Village of South Elgin Police Department, Department of Community Development, Department of Public Works, and the Parks and Recreation Department shall be advised of proposed special events as deemed appropriate by the Parks and Recreation Department Director. Prior to the issuance of a permit, the Special Events Coordinator shall arrange for such inspections and investigations as necessary to verify information provided by the applicant, and to evaluate and ensure compliance with Village Code requirements and state law in order to promote the public health, safety and welfare. Individual vendors may only participate if it is determined that each is in compliance with applicable state law and Village Code provisions. The village may inspect the event premises and participating vendors at any time during the event to ensure continued compliance with Village Code, state law and specific permit conditions, if applicable.
