DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
§ 31.120 OFFICE CREATED.
   There is hereby created the office of Director of Community Development.

§ 31.121 APPOINTMENT.
   The Director of Community Development shall be appointed by the Village President by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, to serve a term of one year, unless otherwise extended by contract, but in no event longer than the term of the current Village President. Removal from office shall be in like manner and in accordance with applicable state law and contractual provisions. The Director of Community Development may hold another non-conflicting municipal office, either elected or appointed.

§ 31.122 BOND, OATH AND COMPENSATION.
   (A)   Bond. Before entering upon the duties of office, the Director of Community Development shall furnish a surety bond in the amount to be approved by the President and Board of Trustees, the bond to be conditioned on the faithful performance of the Director of Community Development's duties. The village shall pay the premium for the bond. The bond shall be filed with the Village Clerk.
   (B)   Oath. Before entering upon the duties of office, the Director of Community Development shall take and subscribe the oath required by the Illinois Constitution. The subscribed oath shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk.
   (C)   Compensation. The Director of Community Development shall receive compensation in such amount and manner as the President and Board of Trustees shall fix from time to time by contract or ordinance.
