Whenever the following terms are used in this subchapter, they shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them hereafter provided:
ACT. "The Environmental Protection Act," ILCS Ch. 415, Act 5, §§ 1 et seq.
APPLICANT. Any person, partnership, firm, association, corporation, municipal corporation or unit of local government, company or organization of any kind that files a request for siting approval of a
"pollution control facility" as defined in and pursuant to the Act and this subchapter.
BOARD. The Board of Trustees of the Village of South Elgin.
CLERK. The Clerk of the Village of South Elgin.
FACILITY. A "pollution control facility" as defined in the Act.
FINANCIAL OFFICER. The Director of Administrative Services of the Village of South Elgin.
PETITION. The application filed by the applicant requesting siting approval for a facility.
VILLAGE. The Village of South Elgin, County of Kane, State of Illinois.
VILLAGE BOARD. The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of South Elgin.
VILLAGE CLERK. The Village Clerk of the Village of South Elgin.
VILLAGE PRESIDENT. The Village President of the Village of South Elgin.
In addition, all other words used in this subchapter and defined in the Act shall have the same definitions and meanings as set forth in the Act.
