(A) All properties or parcels of land within the corporate limits of South Congaree, South Carolina shall hereafter be identified by reference to the uniform numbering system adopted herein.
(B) All existing numbers of properties and buildings not now in conformity with provisions of this subchapter shall not remain in conflict for more than 30 days from the date of passage of this subchapter. That is, numbers on buildings must be changed to new numbers assigned by this subchapter or old structure numbers shall be removed within 30 days after the date of passage of this subchapter.
(C) Where any building has more than one (1) entrance serving separate occupants, a separate number shall be assigned to each entrance serving an occupant.
(D) The building shall be assigned the number of the 33-foot interval in which the main entrance of the building falls. In measuring the 33-foot intervals of street frontage, if the main entrance of the building falls exactly upon the line which divides a 33-foot interval from the next higher interval, either the number of the lower interval or the number of the next higher interval will be assigned to that entrance.
(E) A multiple family dwelling having only one (1) main entrance shall be assigned only one (1) number, and separate apartments in the building will carry a letter designation such as A, B, C in addition to the number assigned to the main entrance of the building.
(F) The duplex houses having two (2) front entrances shall have a separate number for each entrance. In the event that both entrances fall within the same increment, either the preceding number or next highest number shall be used for one (1) entrance number, and the interval number in which the entrances fall shall be used for the other entrance.
(G) The Town of South Congaree shall renumber structures and the mail boxes or mail depositories therewith associated over a period of three (3) years from the date of the adoption of this subchapter assigning new numbers to structures and mail boxes along Main Street and along the renamed McNeil Street (see accompanying map). Mail boxes of structures for McNeil Street residences shall be placed along Main Street in a manner designated by the West Columbia postmaster to facilitate ease of postal delivery.
