For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ABANDONED VEHICLE. A motor vehicle that is left on any right-of-way or any road or highway in the town for a period of over 48 hours or a motor vehicle that has remained on private or other public property for a period of more than seven (7) days without the consent of the owner or person in control of the property.
JUNK VEHICLE. Any vehicle which is unregistered, partially dismantled, non-operating or wrecked or is a derelict vehicle under state law.
PERSON. Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind.
PROPERTY. Any real property within the town which is not a street or highway.
STREET or HIGHWAY. The entire width between the boundary lines of every way publicly maintained or when any part thereof is open to the use of the public for the purpose of vehicular travel.
VEHICLE. Any motor vehicle which is self-propelled and which is required to be registered and licensed pursuant to S.C. Code § 56-3-110.
