Any pet or other animal which has bitten a person must be confined for a period of at least ten (10) days. The County Health Department or the Animal Control Officer will be permitted by the owner/custodian of such pet or animal to examine the animal at any time, and daily if desired, within the ten (10) day period of confinement to determine whether such animal shows symptoms of rabies. No person shall obstruct or interfere with the Animal Control Officer or the County Health Department in making such examination.
