§ 30.44 SUSPENSION OR REMOVAL FROM OFFICE.
   (A)   The Municipal Clerk may be suspended or removed by the Town Council upon a majority vote of the entire Council.
   (B)   At the time of such suspension or removal, written notice shall be provided to the Municipal Clerk of Council action and reasons for it by the Mayor and Council within three (3) days.
   (C)   The Municipal Clerk may request within ten days of receipt of such notice a public hearing on the suspension or removal. The public hearing must be held within ten (10) days of such request following public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the town. Actions of the Council in a public hearing, if called, are final.
   (D)   Should the Municipal Clerk not be suspended or removed following a public hearing, he or she shall receive retroactive pay to the date of suspension or removal.
