(A) Most members, with the exception of the Emergency Management Director (EMD) created in this chapter shall serve without compensation.
(B) The EMD, when called upon by the town to serve in his, her, or their official capacity in training and/or in the event of an emergency shall be paid at the rate of $12.50 per hour, with a minimum of four hours.
(C) At no time will the Emergency Management director accumulate comp time while serving in his, her, or their official capacity.
(D) All training shall be approved by the Town Council.
(E) When the Emergency Management Director feels a situation arise that needs his, her, or their attention, he, she, or they shall call the Mayor of the town for authorization to be activated.
(F) The EMD shall be paid an irregular part-time rate in line with the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division, at a minimum of 20 hours per week.
