(A) The town’s Planning Commission is hereby appointed the zoning commission of the town, and the town’s Planning Commission shall have the powers of a Zoning Commission as provided by state law. Whether exercising the powers of a Planning Commission or the powers of a Zoning Commission, it shall be legally one board known as the town’s Planning Commission.
(B) Exercising the powers of a Zoning Commission, the town’s Planning Commission shall recommend the boundaries of the various zones and appropriate zoning regulations to be enforced therein. It shall have all the powers conferred upon a zoning commission by state law and all powers which now or in the future may be granted by applicable state law to such authorities.
