6-2-2: EXCEPTIONS AND ADDITIONS TO CODE:
The following are exceptions and additions to the Illinois vehicle code, 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/1-101 et seq.:
Exceptions: Paragraph 1-114 (Commercial Vehicle).
Additions:
Commercial Vehicle. Any vehicle operated for the transportation of persons or property in the furtherance of any commercial or industrial enterprise or other non-personal use, for-hire, not including a commuter van, a vehicle used in a ridersharing arrangement, or a recreational vehicle not being used commercially.
Operator. Every person who operates or is in actual physical control of a vehicle.
Property Line. The line marking the boundary between any public way and the private property abutting thereon.
Public Way. Any sidewalk, roadway, alley or other public thoroughfare open to the use of the public, as a matter of right, for purposes of travel.
Supervision. A disposition of conditional and revocable release without probationary supervision, but under such conditions and reporting requirements as are imposed by the court, at the successful conclusion of which disposition the defendant is discharged and a judgment dismissing the charges is entered.
Through Traffic. A vehicle taking a route over any road or highway, or portion thereof, under the maintenance jurisdiction of the village, without trip origination or destination without the village or to or from a location whose only means of ingress and egress is along said road or highway.
