10-4-1:   NON-RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE SIGNS:
   A.   No non-residential real estate sign shall exceed thirty two (32) square feet in area on each of the two (2) display surfaces including cross-arm and post.
   B.   No non-residential real estate sign shall exceed a height of eight feet (8') as measured from the ground to the top of the sign.
   C.   No more than one non-residential real estate sign shall be displayed to designate the location of any property for sale, provided, however, that two (2) such signs shall be permitted on a corner lot. Such sign shall be permitted on each property regardless of lot size or location and shall be located on private property. Except as hereinafter provided, no residential real estate sign shall be located within any portion of a dedicated right-of-way or easement for any street, road or highway, whether public or private.
   D.   For the purposes of real estate "open house" or "occasional sales" directional or informational off-site temporary non-residential real estate signs will be permitted for a period not to exceed thirty six (36) hours per week, provided that such signs shall not interfere with traffic or cause a safety hazard. Such signs may be placed within a street, roadway or highway right-of-way, provided that such signs shall not be placed within a portion of the right-of- way upon which vehicular traffic travels or upon the shoulder of any street, road or highway.
   E.   Non-residential real estate signs shall not be illuminated.
   F.   Signs for "open house" or signs advertising occasional sales shall be removed no later than one hour after the conclusion of the "open house" or "occasional sale".
   G.   In addition to any other penalty provided for in this chapter, any non-residential real estate sign unlawfully placed upon or in a public right-of-way or easement for a road, street or highway may be removed by or at the direction of the Building Officer. (Ord. 2018-1173, 2-8-2018)
