141.07 APPEAL GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE/POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS.
   Members of the Fire Department have the right to avail themselves of the grievance/appeal process established in the Policies and Procedures for Employees, Elected Officials and Appointed Officials of the Village of South Amherst, as adopted by Village Council, which from time to time may be amended by Village Council. Such appeal/grievance procedure rights shall be subject to Standard Operating Procedures of the Department and the authority granted the Fire Chief under the O.R.C. and SACO. The current Step 4, Section 24, Grievance/Appeal Procedure sets out such rights and procedure. Except where inapplicable to Fire Department members, the Policies and Procedures for Elected Officials and Appointed Officials of the Village of South Amherst shall apply to fire fighters.
