For the purpose of this Zoning Ordinance, certain terms and words are hereby defined. Words used in the present tense shall include the future; the singular number shall include the plural and the plural the singular; the words "individual" or "person" shall include a firm, association, corporation, trust or any other legal entity including his or its agents; the word "lot" shall include the word "plot" or "parcel", the word "used" or "occupied" as applied to any land or building shall be construed to include the words "intended, arranged, or designed to be used or occupied"; the word "building" shall include the word "structure" and the word "shall" is mandatory and not directory.
