(A) There is hereby established a Board of Appeals, which shall perform its duties and exercise its powers as provided in the state’s Zoning Enabling Act, being M.C.L.A. §§ 125.3101 et seq., in such a way so that the objective of the ordinance shall be observed, the public health and safety secured, and substantial justice done.
(B) The Board of Appeals shall be composed of not fewer than five members. One of the regular members of the Board of Appeals shall be a member of the Planning Commission. The remaining regular members, and any alternate members, shall be selected from the electors of the township. Membership vacancies must be filled within one month.
