Conditional use provisions in accordance with §§ 153.145 through 153.153 are hereby established to regulate land uses adjourning water bodies in any zoning district. The purpose of these regulations is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare which could be threatened by environmental degradation resulting from the over use of inland lakes, and to avoid situations which may create a nuisance, irreparably damage important natural resources, and destroy property values. These regulations are intended to reinforce the implementation of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, Public Act 451 of 1994, as amended, being M.C.L.A. §§ 324.101 through 324.90106.
