§ 153.068  SIGNS IN LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
   The following on-site signs are permitted on any one lot in the Local Commercial District:
   (A)   One on-site identification sign may be affixed flat against the wall of a building. The total sign area shall not exceed one-fourth square foot for each foot in length or height of the wall, whichever is greater. No such sign shall extend above the wall to which it is affixed or more than 48 inches from the building;
   (B)   One on-site free-standing identification sign may be erected for a neighborhood shopping center. The banner portion (i.e., the name of the shopping center) shall not exceed 40 square feet in area. Each individual business in the center may have a sign, not to exceed 12 square feet in area. All individual signs shall be the same size;
   (C)   One on-site free-standing identification sign may be erected for each separate enterprise situated on any individual lot not within a shopping center. Such sign shall not exceed 32 square feet in area; and
   (D)   One on-site sign advertising the sale or lease of the lot or building not exceeding 12 feet in area. Signs are intended to be placed for a period not to exceed six months do not require a zoning compliance permit.
