Upon the report of a condition or perpetration in violation of this Building and Housing Code the Chief Building Official shall immediately examine or cause to be examined such violation, and if such violation exists, he or she shall immediately order the owner, lessee, tenant or person responsible for such violation to make such changes, alterations or repairs as shall satisfy the conditions of this Building and Housing Code. It shall be the further duty of the Chief Building Official to cause the prosecution of the person responsible for such violation.
