There is hereby established the following Inspector classifications within the Building Department, which positions shall be filled by appointment by the Mayor pursuant to Article V, § 5(b), of the City Charter. The Building Inspectors shall report directly to the Chief Building Official and shall perform such duties as may be required pursuant to the position’s job description on file in the Human Resource Department.
(a) Building Inspector I;
(b) Building Inspector II. No person shall act as a Building Inspector II unless he or she has a Class III building license, an electrical safety inspector certification, a state plumbing inspector license or a mechanical license; and
(c) Building Inspector III. No person shall act as a Building Inspector III unless he or she has a Class III building inspector license and an electrical safety inspector certification and/or a state plumbing inspector license.
