§ 256.01 RECREATION DEPARTMENT; COMPOSITION.
   (a)   There is hereby established the position of Director of Recreation. The Director of Recreation shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the confirmation by a majority of the members of Council, pursuant to Article V, § 5, of the City Charter. The Director of Recreation shall report directly to the Mayor and shall perform such duties as may be required by the Mayor pursuant to the position’s job description on file in the Human Resource Department. In addition to the Director of Recreation, there are hereby established the following full-time positions that are not to exceed the listed number of positions, which may be filled by appointment of the Mayor.
      (1)   Manager of Community Center;
      (2)   Manager of Parks and Recreation;
      (3)   Supervisor of Recreation Programs; and
      (4)   Department Head Secretary.
   (b)   In addition, there are hereby established the following full-time positions that are not to exceed the listed number of positions, which may be filled by approval of the Mayor.
      (1)   Banquet Coordinator;
      (2)   Program Coordinator;
      (3)   Activities Coordinator;
      (4)   Aquatics Coordinator;
      (5)   Facility Administrator;
      (6)   Maintenance Coordinator;
      (7)   Front Desk Coordinator; and
      (8)   Maintenance Worker(5).
   (c)   In addition, the Director of Recreation and/or the managers may hire part-time or seasonal assistants when deemed necessary in accordance with the annual budgetary appropriations authorized by City Council for the Recreation Department.
