§ 1222.02 ADOPTION OF PLAN.
   (a)   Whenever the Planning Commission adopts a master plan or progresses in its master planning to where it has determined a land use plan for residential, business, industrial, public and other land uses, the density of population, the intensity of developments and estimated the volume, origin and destination of traffic to be generated by the future development, it is empowered to prepare and adopt a Major Street Plan in accordance with the regulations and procedures established herein. The Major Street Plan may be an element of the master or comprehensive plan or a separate plan. The Major Street Plan shall be adopted by the Planning Commission as a whole by a resolution; thereafter the Plan may be amended by successive resolutions by the Commission, covering successive parts of the Plan.
   (b)   Before the adoption of the Plan, or any amendment thereto, the Commission shall hold at least one public hearing on the proposal and shall give at least 30 days’ notice of the time, place and purpose thereof in a newspaper of general circulation in the city. A copy of the plan shall be on display in the meeting room of the Commission during such period.
